This animated film brings a delightful mix of humour and heart to its rough adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s classic tale. The voice cast is superb, with Jim Carrey delivering a standout performance as the endearingly eccentric elephant Horton. However, the movie’s over-reliance on slapstick comedy and lack of subtlety in its themes hold it back from being a truly timeless masterpiece. It also deviates from the source material in unfortunate ways. Additionally, you will not find any groundbreaking cinematography here.
