This animated film showcases a perfectly cast and written Minion character, bringing infectious energy to an otherwise predictable story line. The film’s strongest asset is its ability to balance humour and heart, making it an enjoyable watch for both children and adults. However, the villainous plot feels somewhat one-dimensional and lacks real depth or complexity. Despite this, the film’s colourful animation and lovable characters make up for all of these shortcomings, resulting in a generally pleasant viewing experience, and one that will be loved and returned to as a classic by entire families.
