While not having seen the old version of this film, I found this new one to be a visually stunning film that brings a fresh energy to a beloved classic, with impressive animation and memorable character designs. The story is engaging and full of clever twists, but some of the supporting characters feel slightly underdeveloped in favour of the main protagonist. The voice acting is strong across the board, particularly from the lead who imbues their performance with effortless charm. While it doesn’t quite surpass its source material, this adaptation is a delightful addition to the Disney canon.
